Worst customer service ever!!! Applied for a loan. I was left a message to call back and speak to Jacqueline. I tried everyday for a week, and she was never available left 10 messages and nothing. Still waiting on that call.

I asked a former credit union vice president about selecting a credit union because I was going to bank my funds in El Paso and wanted a membership based credit union instead of a bank. I was recommended 3 to consider, went to all of them and chose Mountain Star Federal Credit Union. It has been the best choice. The staff is friendly, personal, take your special needs into consideration, provide shared branching for my Austin based credit union and transfer of funds. from my pension. I know who the President, Vice President is, they provide their expertise and continue to expand services. A truly small town mom/pop experience where everyone know everyone. I will always use Mountain Star Federal Credit Union as my credit and banking institution. They are a 5 star credit union!!!

I thought I would be dealing with a professional institution despite it being such a small operation. I was told I was approved for a refi, I have the great score, good income and years at my job and residence. I answered the application correctly to include all their pre-requisite questions. I drive across town 20 miles to turn in tax forms to be told that I was approved but she wouldn't process the refinance loan. If their loan person would do their job and pay attention to the paperwork, they wouldn't cost you points on your score that you just have to eat! By the way, her reasons for not processing the loan seem to be her personal judgement since I was approved by the Credit Union......can't imagine the job and the pain it could be to process disputes or claims through them if your a member.

The staff is very helpful and kind. I will always be grateful for their assistance. I do not forsee myself banking anywhere else. Also, love that this is a local bank.

Wish they would open sooner everyday except Sundays at 8a and close at 6p

I had spoken to Jackie and she said she was going to email me so I can send her the documents needed. I never received the email. I decided to apply online, she then asked for my pay stubs the next day and didn’t hear from her anymore. I had to call & ask for the status. Never doing any business with them in the future.

Before choosing an El Paso Credit Union, I visited 4 credit unions personally. I spoke with the new account representatives, called a few people about credit unions and selected Mountain Star. It is a small but very efficient CU. Outstanding customer service, personable and a shared branch credit union which means they have the capacity to share branch with share branch networks throughout the nation and Texas. Very convenient if you have an account in El Paso and Austin or other cities. I love my credit union. Membership based is the way !!!

$1000 limit on withdrawals from my account for no given reason. I had more than that taken out multiple times and all of a sudden I can't access my money. On top of that the staff was rude. Never getting my business again.
