Baja Wild Encounters

Can’t speak highly enough of this trip. The boat, captain and guides were all superb.They picked the best day of the week for calm water and catered the trip very specifically to our group. They made sure everyone was comfortable in the water, provided excellent information and guidance, and made sure it was completely safe but also free-flowing and fun! Everyone had a blast!We saw spectacular wildlife, learned a ton about the diverse ocean ecosystem and had the absolute best day diving a beautiful island reef.Definitely one of the top things to do in this area!

We had a wonderful time in the water with Baja Wild Encounters! Our guide, Elias was awesome! He told us a ton of interesting facts about the marine life in Baja. He always made sure we had fun and respectful interactions with the animals. His passion for nature is evident. On our trip we saw mobula rays, dolphins, sea lions, humpbacks and blue whales! They also make sure to support local fishermen. We would love to come back and go out with these guys again.

We had an incredible trip with Jamie and Lorenzo, snorkeling with the wonderful wildlife off the coast of La Ventana. Jamie is a wealth of information on the area and wildlife, and our captain Lorenzo is well connected in the community and knows all the best spots. Lorenzo's boat was the nicest I saw out there, with a great shade awning (most bosts didn't have shade), dry compartments, and it looked brand new! We were very lucky to witness a pod of 8-9 orcas (including a baby!) feeding on large schools of manta, and even be in the water snorkeling when they came by. We also saw turtles and huge pods of dolphins. I LOVE that Jamie is focused on regenerative experiences by employing local captains and fisherman, and providing alternate livelihoods to conserve nature and prevent shark fishing (still legal in Mexico unfortunately). Jamie provides all the snorkel gear as well as a delicious lunch and plentiful water (but no plastic bottles thankfully). Its best to bring a wetsuit, but Jamie can also get one if needed. This was definitely a once in a lifetime adventure. We highly recommend Baja Wild Encounters for exploring the remarkable Sea of Cortez in La Ventana.

Jamie fue excelente como guía, denota pasión en lo que hace y sobre todo mucho dominio en el tema. Es muy lindo y estuvo al pendiente de cada persona del grupo. Fue un tour super interesante, aprendiendo sobre la vida marina, una experiencia única interactuar con ellos.

La mejor excursión de mi vida!Sin duda lo recomiendo muchísimoTuvimos la fortuna de poder nadar con delfines y mobulas y lo mejor de todo, una maravillosa experiencia con una ballena azul!Gracias Jimmy y Lorenzo por tan increíble experiencia y uno de mis mejores cumpleaños !

We had a great trip with Jamie! We saw mobulas, dolphins, sea lions, turtles, and an octopus! Jamie is very knowledgeable and was always just as excited as we were to get in the water, this was our second year going out with Baja Wild Encounters and we can’t wait to come back!
