As new residents of Los Fresnos (from Minnesota) we had only been here three weeks someone came to our door at 1:15 in the morning asking for a ride to stripes only a mile away from our home we immediately called the Los Fresnos police department in less than three minutes they responded and captured the young man a block away. We say Thank you so much and truly feel safe and Blessed to being a part of this wonderful community. God Bless you All and please be safe!

Really bad service. They are extremely rude when they decide you are too young to know what's going on. I have a baby voice so they thought I was maybe a child. I found it extremely rude.

My experience with the Cameron County Sheriff's Department was awesome... No problems with them.. Very nice, Helpful and respectful. Nothing bad to say about them.

Extremely disappointed in our Cameron County Sheriff department!!!!We had an incident where some crack head neighbors that party all the time were shooting guns and had a system enough to juice up a large club . It was 1 am I called nothing ,,,, 2am they gave me attitude and drove bye ,,,,nothing changed ,,,, 3 am I called again ,,, they drove bye with a light ,,, kept driving ,,, nothing again ,,, I guess someone's going to have to get shot or in a fight in order for them to do something ,,,Disappointed !!!! Oh and don't forget the moron dispatcher saying your out in the country people party " I know that but your job is to keep order and prevent from pissed off neighbors from getting personal ! Oh well did I mention I was DISAPPOINTED! My taxes being put to work ! Whatever !"

They shouldn’t be stopping every car they see with this new shelter in place law. It’s against constitutional rights. Every citizen has a right to be out. My parents who are elderly live in the Port Isabel/Brownsville area and they have already been stopped for just driving to get groceries. I live in a different city in Texas and from what I understand law enforcement can only stop you if you commit a traffic offense such as using no blinker, running stop sign, speeding etc. Only then, they can ask you what your business is. They can’t stop you for just driving. I also thought roadblocks where illegal under Texas law, reason why we don’t have any DWI roadblocks in Texas.

Ive lived in Cameron county for 20 Years. Have had incidents where ive needed a police officer to come to my house. Not once did they get here in less than 30 min. Had to call them twice in 1 day beause they never showed up. Sad. Taxes are going down the drain

I had the honor and opportunity to work with the jailers at DC1 and DC2 and carrizales; A great team of professionals, Team players and responsible people, Good Job guys keep up the good work and God bless you.
