I called the sheriff's office this evening 2 times to submit a noise complaint about a dance hall keeping the community awake in regard to an existing case file. No once answers, voice mail says it is full and can take mo more messages. Than I get a bogus text from them anout setting up vip tables. What kind of department is this? I would have been fired by any employer I ever worked for if pulling such a stunt.

I have needed to call on the help of The Hidalgo County Sheriff's office several times in the past. They have always sent a deputy or two, right away, to address my concerns or issues. They treat me with kindness, and explain the situation with knowledgeable expertise. I'm glad I live in Hidalgo County, thank you for your help, guidance, and services.

Turkey free at sunflower rd Edinburg, very disorganized even, I got there early to get the free turkey then a lady sheriff told me to go back at the end of the line just because she felt like it. There were more than 50 cars in line and I just wasted my time , gasoline and no turkey back home just because of this cáreless officers that they didn’t know what they were doing . Please don’t do this to people we just want to get a good meal . Wasted 3 hours of my day for nothing.. get organized before the event Thanks..

Kudos to officer De Leon!!While driving northbound on Raul Longoria rd noticed a stranded vehicle in the middle of the two lanes, immediately pulled over and tried to help as did other drivers including a mechanic we tried everything possible to push car to the side of the road without success. A few minutes later officer De Leon arrived and not only was he able to move car, he also volunteered to take passengers home.

Your officer Jueves in the front is so disrespectful. Ive never visited anyone before i came in 15 mins before visiting hours and she had me stand on the wall. After seeing everyone go to the back doors and form a line. I went back up to her and told her where was i supose to go and she tells me the back were theres already a line. Just because a pretty girl asks you a question dosnt mean you have to be rude.

This department did a horrible job at conflict resolution. Rather than help a victim of a felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle the deputy informs me it's not really their problem. (Keep on mind I was not the one who contacted the sheriff's office.) Worked to make sure that I knew I had not filled out paperwork properly, and stared at me for 90 seconds before asking are you done?"The worst thing you can hear from these deputies is "I'm TRYING to help you" that must be SO code for I'm doing you a favor by being out here talking to a citizen."

I don’t think very many jail facilities are going rate a 5 star rating. I know these individuals are there for many different reasons. So according to there crime.,So basically you get treated according to your crime. I’ve been there a few times to visit. I’ve had both decent experiences and not pleasant experiences . In the end I’ve noticed some inprovement especially with answering the phones . People can be nice and informative and others want to act like jerks and not even answer. It’s a busy facility. So keep that in mind too. Good luck!!!!

Absolutely loved my stay. Would definite recommend. Room service is free with 3 meals a day. There is also exercise, and recreation. You will leave feeling relaxed. Would give 6 stars if I could.
