RAIZ - Cocina Cultural

È stato davvero divertente! Inez e Miguel sono dei perfetti padroni di casa.La proprietà è splendida e piena di piante da cui abbiamo raccolto alcuni degli ingredienti.Abbiamo cucinato l’insalata di nopal e il platano ripieno: 2 ricette incredibili e buonissime.Se vieni a Sayulita non ti perdere questa occasione!

We had an amazing time at our cooking class at the Raíz Cocina! I am a culinary instructor and I was so impressed by the flow of the class and farm tour. The food was outstanding and the setting was beautiful. We learned about the locally grown ingredients and how to make simple and amazing recipes that we can repeat at home. It is also nice to get out of the bustling part of sayulita and connect more with the local culture.

Loved this class! If you are in Sayulita, love food, and have 3ish hours free this is a must do. Ines and Miguel are great hosts and the menu is delicious. You don’t quite leave knowing how to make everything from scratch, but you do leave with your belly and heart full and I think that’s the real marker of a great class.

We really enjoyed this fun cooking class at Rais Cocina that my daughter got me as a birthday gift. The hosts were so friendly and informative from the tour around their farm to the delicious meal we prepared. Our friends came with us and said it was a highlight of our trip to Sayulita. We walked there using google maps in about 25 minutes and we’re surprised it was only 100 pesos for a taxi back to our place.

Most important information:Just Do It!We discovered this cooking class through a sign at Chocobanana in downtown Sayulita.Contact over Instagram was easy and we were able to join the class on the next day.The location isn't in the center but easy to reach, it's a ~15 min walk from the center.First we had a walk over the amazing property to see were some of the ingredients grow which we used later.To get hydrated through the day we started to prepare a lemonade which was amazing and enough for the whole class, with multiple cups for everybody.For the main dishes we had Menu 3 with the 'Sopa Azteca' and 'Panuchos' and it was amazing, but the other menus are pretty sure tasty as well.Vegetarian was also no problem.Beside the food, the conversations with the group as well as with Ines & Miguel were awesome and inspirational.We wish them all the best for the future and fulfilling their dream with the small and private cooking classes.

My husband and I took my mom and mother in law to a cooking class at Raiz and it was a highlight of the trip.  The location of the class is a beautiful outdoor kitchen and prior to cooking we walked around the property and picked a few fresh ingredients for our meal.  Ines and Miguel are two of the kindest hosts, explaining everything clearly and answering all our questions.  While preparing our incredible fresh lemonade, margarita AND yummy meal they had a great playlist going (which they shared) and explained every step in the cooking process.  Our final meal was delicious and they provided the recipes for us to recreate the meal at home.  If you're looking for a unique and beautiful experience in Sayulita, this cooking class is not to be missed.

Experiencia mágica!

Ines and Miguel were delightful hosts, sharing their knowledge and history of indigenous plants and the area. The cooking class was suitable for any skill level, the recipes used fresh local ingredients and were delicious! Would highly recommend this experience to enhance your stay in Sayulita.

My husband and I went to Sayulita for a week and this was our favorite experience of the entire trip! Miguel and Ines were so lovely to spend time with and the property is a dream. They were very accomodating by allowing us to take a private class where we learned how to make delicious dishes that we've already made for friends! We will be making chile rellenos, ahi sashimi and fried plantains for many gatherings to come. They also have a great glamping setup. Highly recommend taking a cooking class with this lovely couple in this beautiful place!

The cooking class with Raiz was easily our favorite experience in Sayulita. Ines and Miguel are warm, welcoming, and great teachers. Highly highly recommend!
