YIIMTII ECOLOGICAL RESERVE

If your looking for that special place that you have always been dreaming about then this is it. We stayed for 3 nights and it was the best experience of my life. I needed a place, I needed some kindness and I needed to reconnect with the beauty of nature. I came away with that need fulfilled and my heart bursting again with joy.

Yiimtii is magical!Mariatere and Naim are gracious hosts and extraordinary people. What they and their family have created with Yiimtii is as beautiful and inspiring as they are.Yiimtii was for us nothing less than transformative.

No words to describe this place. How can a trip start badly when you are picked up in the back of a truck and driven up a dirt road? Every detail is thought of and done so lovingly. The cabin was more than we could have hoped for. But besides the place being so magical, it was the family that made us never want to leave. They went above and beyond to make our stay special, and are some of the most genuinely kind people we have met. I don't often return to the same places but my partner and I are already planning our return. If you can, spend many days, or all your time here, we did not want to leave! We almost didn't want to write a review, so this place remains a bit of a secret ;) but it's too special to not share.

My partner and I spent 4 nights at Yiimtii and it was the most memorable stay we had during our entire Mexico trip! The place itself is so secluded and simple in a way that you are one with nature, staying in their bungalow overlooking the mighty sea and surrounded by forest. The bungalow is designed with so much care and sense of detail in a private part of their land. Marytere and Naim prepared the most delicious, fresh and organic foods throughout our stay and made us feel so much at home. Their entire family is SO lovely that you just want to stay there forever. It is a truly inspiring what they have done with this land and their conservation project since 20+ years. We cannot recommend it enough, and we cannot wait to come visit the Yiimtii family again soon.

Visited in April ‘22 and spent four nights here with my partner and it’s absolute heaven on earth. Took a night to adjust to being in nature but cannot fault the experience. They created a unique place and absolutely can’t wait to return. (If you’re used to modern comforts it might be difficult for you. if you want to switch off from the world, this is it.) Hope the family is OK after the hurricane in May.

Yiimitii was the highlight of our Mexico trip. We stayed for 3 nights (originally booked 2). And LOVED waking up each morning in the cabana nestled on the clifftop over looking their private beach.One of the best parts about here is the FOOD. Niam and Marytere cook the most amazing meals -- we had cevice, fish tacos and fish pasta, with hours spent chatting.If you're reading this, you've found something special. Wander down to the private beach, go for a walk around the reserve or simply chillax" and eat AMAZING food. Did I say the food is good?"
