DO NOT RECOMMEND! Save yourself the headache and rent with people who can take responsibility for inaccuracies in their listings and are ethical enough to refund your money in such a case.I do not recommend this place, especially not if you are gonna rent from the Canadian lady who owns part of the building. She didn't honor our agreement.She advertised the place as “quiet” with a “peaceful patio”, which is seriously far from what it is. Music from the surrounding bars starts playing at lunchtime until late at night, the private “peaceful” patio isn’t peaceful and the music was so loud you could hear it inside with closed doors (plus patio smells like the inside of a bbq diner because of the nearby restaurants - hence far from peaceful unless you like the strong smell of grilled meat for hours.)There wouldn’t have been a problem *IF* that had been mentioned/advertised accordingly but to me it was “presented” - and reassured when specifically asking - as “quiet and peaceful” prior to renting. I rented and paid for a month, but within 3 days I realised that it would be unbearable to stay. I spoke to the landlady (Canadian lady) who wasn’t willing to make an effort to meet me anywhere with a refund at first. Only after I reminded her of the facts that it wasn’t what she was selling it, she was willing to agree to a fair solution I suggested (bringing a suitable replacement - which I did) BUT as it would turn out later, she would never hold up to it! The situation started to become unbearable, also with her on a personal level (she lives above the studio she rents), which forced me to leave 2 weeks earlier than planned. I paid over 1000 USD for this place from which she should have refunded me AT LEAST 50%, as I didn’t have access in the last 2 weeks and due to all the things mentioned before, barley spent any time there after the initial 3 days where I let her know it was unbearable to stay. I tried several times to talk to her about the refund and find a solution but it became clear she was never interested in giving me one, I even had to fight to get my rightful deposit back.By far the worst rental experience of 3 years travelling the world!
