Amazing excursion with an amazing host and staff! Terry and crew made us feel at home on this beachside experience. The chef created an exceptionally delicious presentation that left nothing to be desired. Thank you all for an amazing dinner experience!

This dinner was a fantastic experience. We are pretty avid Yucatan travelers and were looking for something unique during our stay in Playa. We usually seek out the most authentic foods and are not shy to eat in whatever local establishment we can find to accomplish our food goals - so we were excited to try this but a bit apprehensive due to the nature of the experience (marketed to all inclusive guests, the price, etc).After our night with the Travelers Table, this is absolutely for everyone. It is romantic, it is welcoming, it is fun and very unique. The food allows you to try and expand your pallet to true cuisine of the area and the history along with it. Terry was a great host; he was engaging, funny, and involved in the right way. The support team was quick and timed perfectly (if you have worked in a restaurant, you will pick up on their effective but silent communication to keep all the guests perfectly served).The food was great and presented beautifully. If we were to visit Playa, we would most likely do the dinner again and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a special evening (and who like food!). Don't forget to pack your bug spray, the location is tucked into an undeveloped part of the coastline and nature is still supreme here; we found this a very small price to pay to find such a beautiful and tranquil spot in an otherwise, very developed strip of land.

This was such a wonderful birthday experience. We enjoyed the different types of food and hearing about the history behind each dish. Thank you to our guide Terry and Chef Edgar. We would definitely recommend!!

Great way to venture out of the resorts and into a fun drive before you emerge into this adorable beachside dining experience!Staff and host are pros and very welcoming. Community style tables are fun and get people mingling. The experience started with everyone making a cocktail following the host directions. It was a great way to start this experience. Go hungry there is a lot to eat, we barely had room for dessert. The rock soup was both delicious and memorable with the host demonstration that you can watch up close. this is an all outdoor experience but there is a roof. If you plan to drive there yourself I highly recommend a rugged jeep- part of the road is not paved and gets quite adventurous. Also go sober.. there is so much wine coming your way, each dish is paired with a glass - the selections were really well made. Host was super knowledgeable and shared origins of the dishes and some ingredients. Overall, great value for the $. You are not expected to leave a tip but I encourage it, no matter how small. It’s helpful and civilized, shows appreciation. They also sell local tequila and some mezcal - we tasted them and they were great. Friends who had room in their suitcases bought some. So… get of the resort take a mini adventure through a jungle ride to a culinary social experience - enjoy!

Loved the place. This was the most delicious food I had in Mexico. Beautiful place. The road to the place is a bit bumpy but worth it. If you thinking to do the traveler's table, please do. Worth every penny. Charming host comes with the package.

Una experiencia inigualable. Si te gusta lo real y auténtico seguro este es tu tour. Un viaje culinario por la gastronomía Maya, que además de deiletar tu paladar disfrutaras en un ambiente natural y acojedor. Destacando la pasión y entrega del guía Terry que además de hacer lucir el trabajo del Chef Edgar (a quien ay que agradecer el buen sazón) y todo su equipo, hacen que pases una noche maravillosa. Mis respetos para el extranjero que se adueña así de este show y muestra a todo el mundo un pedacito de mi hermoso México.

Great place for a relaxing day by the beach.700pesos/person minimum. ($37 USD)We got 4 beverages each and 2 meals (breakfast and lunch) and was right at the minimum amount.One thing I noticed on some of the reviews is that people complain of the minimum purchase amount, but to be waited on/served while lounging on the beach all day for $37.... I'd say it's worth it.Get there early for the best spots.Lots of palms for shade, comfortable cabanas, clean beach, friendly staff, good food, and really clean restrooms.We will be back.

We had the best experience at Travelers Table! Our guide, Terry, was thoughtful, kind, engaging and funny. He made it such an incredible experience for my group. On top of that the food by Chef Edgar was out of this world. So many unique flavors and tastes. We loved learning about the history of Mayan food culture and the influences through the years.The setting is beautiful but just be ware that you are deep in the jungle so the roads getting there are unpaved and bumpy. Totally worth the trip in tho!
