Casa Pacifico

The week I spent with family here was wonderful. The units are clean and well supplied. The owner left a book that offers suggestions for local eating spots, sightseeing, transportation and more. The beach is just down the block. It is clean and not terribly crowded. Beautiful sunsets.The main part of town is just a few blocks walk, but if you are like me and find walking difficult, a taxi into town is only a couple of dollars.The locals were extremely nice everywhere we went, and willing to help us with our limited Spanish skills.We enjoyed a variety of local eateries, but also enjoyed preparing some of our own food in the well equipped kitchen.There are many tours and sights close in the area, so you won’t have a problem finding things to see and do. You also can enjoy down time in the backyard gardens by the pool.

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Pacifico. It is very safe and secure and feels tranquil inside its walls. We rented the one bedroom, Casa do Sonrisa. It was lovely and well equipped with everything we needed. Besides the spacious inside area, it has a delightful terrace where we had our morning coffee everyday. In addition, the pool area is a great place to hang out hen you don’t want to be on the beach or in town. Lissa is a superb hostess, full of helpful suggestions and information on every topic we asked. We highly recommend Casa Pacifico for anyone visiting La Peñita de Jaltemba, Nayarit, Mexico.

I booked Casa Pacifico to stay over the holidays with our family and had a contract so I felt secure in our reservation even though we paid with Zelle. Three days before our reservation the host told us we would not be allowed to play our musical instruments (we're professional musicians) even though we had booked with the understanding that practicing would be something we could discuss in person upon arrival. She never guaranteed we could play our instruments but she did leave us with the impression that it would not be a problem and that we would be able to discuss the situation upon arrival with the other guests. Three days before our reservation she emails us and says that we're not allowed to play and says we should cancel and ask for a refund from our travel insurance. She was quick to name call and presume that I was in the wrong and acting in poor faith. We declined her request to cancel stating that we were happy to stick with our contract and figure it out upon arrival as discussed. She pushed again for us to cancel and never once offered to refund us anything saying instead that we should use our travel insurance to reimburse our loss. Finally, once I stated that we would not cancel she said she would cancel and only offered us 40% of the cost of the rental stating that her administrative fee should be $750 out of a total of $1250. On the day before our arrival she finally paid $1000 leaving us no time to find new accommodations forcing us to cancel our trip. This was incredibly stressful and unnecessary with no apology or ownership of any wrong doing. I should also add that she refused to talk to us on the phone after we asked twice. Total scam! Don't fall for it!

I have stayed at Casa Pacifico on two occasions. Both times the rooms and amenities were beyond my expectations. The host is very accommodating and very knowledgeable on the area. Our rooms were well stocked and clean. The linens and Towels were plush, soft and clean. It’s a Short walking distance to town and just a few houses down from the beach. We loved the local feel and not the packed resort atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Really enjoyed our stay.

Our family (two adults and one 16 y.o) spent Christmas week in the Casa de Sonrisas unit of Casa Pacifico. It was perfect- had every thing we could possibly need (and many things we didn't know we would need). Finding coffee, sugar, creamer and a loaf of cinnamon bread and a tin of cookies waiting for us was a great way to start. We were just a block to beach, a few blocks to a restaurant, a few more to town. We felt safe, immersed in the town's culture, with plenty to do and see (or not!). When not on the beach or hunting down tacos/churros - the terrace was our daytime hangout spot, we used the internet to watch movies in the evening, and the pool was right down the steps if we needed a dip. We used Lissa's suggestions for getting through the airport, changing money, hiring a driver, stopping at Mega on the way, how to tip, where to eat, and on and on. Our daughter proclaimed this the best vacation ever. Thank you Lissa. We hope to return!

Prior to writing my review of Casa Pacifico in La Peñita Nayarit I decided to read a few other recent reviews and found that everyone except one had a wonderful experience at Casa Pacifico. I was amazed at the one poor review because my stays ( five times) at Casa Pacifico have been wonderful. My most recent stay was no exception. Lissa has always gone beyond what is expected of a rental host with her professionalism, friendly hospitality, and willingness to help with questions about the area. I have also enjoyed some of Lissa’s fresh baked goods. The cinnamon rolls are to die for!! I have stayed in both her one bedroom and two bedroom units. Both are extremely comfortable and provide a great vacation home. I enjoy cooking and the kitchens have everything needed for making delicious meals. As well as the comfort of the units, Casa Pacifico’s location is excellent — walking distance to most anywhere you may want to go in the La Peñita area and it is truly about 100 steps to the beauty of the beach. I can’t say thank you enough to Lissa for helping to provide a place for me to enjoy some of the best days of my year — at Casa Pacifico in La Peñita Nayarit.

Best vacation in a long time! Can’t wait to go back! Beautiful kind helpful people all over town! Clean comfy rooms, easy pool access. Totally affordable!

Hi there just thought I would leave another review for casa pascifco if you are looking for a true Mexican experience this is the place to be ! We spent 1week with Lissa from the super clean and cute unit to the dip in her pool after the hot day ! Our experience was truly enjoyable ! You are in and amongst the true Mexican locals and their culture! Never once did we feel unwelcome right down to the little cafe that a woman has opened and cooks out of her home awesome food ! Lissa has her home and courtyard gated so you always feel safe at night ! Someday we hope to return ! Thanks agian lissa we think of you often!!

it's all in the details. Aside from an absolutely lovely location and the perfect host, the Casita was so comfortable from the soft sheets to the fluffy and large towels. the kitchen was ready for some cooking (not me!) and the bathroom was pretty and plenty big. the pool was a Godsend and everything is very clean!! all you need is within reach. Even doing laundry, had i needed to. I love the keyless system.
