Roy’s golf cart rental sayulita

Went to rent. 4 seater golf cart. Because I am 200lbs. , the rental went to only 2 people allowed. First because of the hill but the rule was to be followed even on flat ground. 600 pesos fine per person on the contract. I asked for the contract to be changed to weight and not by person. 280 kg at a time. Ok. Then I signed the contract and put hold on my credit card. When I ask the owner what time tomorrow, I am told 2pm so I tried to ask about returning it the day before since I leave at 10am on the last day I had it rented and the owner threw a fit and told his staff to cancel the rental. Seriously? I own three companies and do not act like this with anyone. And I understood the weight issue. So I asked for the max of the cart to be used and not the number of people. They said 154 pounds per person times 4. That js all I asked for.

It was our first time in Sayulita, and having a golf cart for the week made it such an amazing experience. I thought Roy was extremely professional. We we charged exactly what he told us it would cost for the rental. One of our carts had an issue for one of the mornings. We called Roy and he had a replacement cart within minutes. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

850 pesos a day, 600 pesos fine for every little incident. And he has no mercy! The extension cord he gave us to charge the golf cart didn't work, luckily we had access to an outlet in our hotel and were able to charge directly.

NOT RECOMMENDABLE. He is dishonest and abusive, he would rather have a few pennies than keep a good customer. if you want to avoid a headache rent somewhere else

Boycott if you can. Go to another golf cart rental. Not nice...will totally take advantage of you! We recently visited Sayulita. My husband and older son had a surfing lesson scheduled. That left me and my younger son to enjoy the afternoon poking around the town. My younger son is in a wheel chair. After some lunch and an attempt to tour the town, it was obvious that the cobbled streets and uneven sidewalks of this quaint town are not exactly handicap friendly. So we decided to rent a golf cart for an hour or so and tour around. Roy's was the closest rental place.We arrived at 3:00pm. I asked to rent a golf cart for an hour or so. They informed us that they do not have pricing per hour and would need to charge us the full fee for a whole day and the golf cart would need to be returned no later than 6:00pm. I tried to explain that we only needed it for an hour or so and asked to negotiate the price. The woman at the kiosk called Roy. Roy said no. I found this surprising and disappointing because the webside clearly says, discounted prices for disabilities."After noticing that my son was in a wheel chair they did say we could go to another rental agency that rents by the hour. I explained that while that was a good idea

Great. The rental was quick. I was outta there in 5 minutes. Return was easy and I had no problem getting my deposit back with my bank. The 2 guys there were very friendly.I find it unfortunate that this place has negative reviews because entitled westerners wouldn’t have the rules bended for them.Oh also this was the cheapest rental I found in Sayulita.

Strongly recommend NOT using this company. Roy is unprofessional and dishonest. He gave us a cart which we discovered had a faulty battery. We brought it back and he became verbally aggressive and insulting. I elected to immediately discontinue our rental. Despite the cart returned in the same condition in which it was rented, two hours later, he's trying to bill my credit card for the $650 security deposit, which I am contesting with my credit card company.

Only rent here if you like pushing your golf cart. Roy rented us a cart that lasted about 30 min before dying, then got angry when we brought it back. Should have known better when he said five times not to drive it up hills and to charge it every time we stopped, Clearly he knew he was renting us a cart with an old battery. Hopefully we get our $700 deposit back

Don’t rent from here! Our cart didn’t hold a charge! Then after we charged it again it still only lasted 20 minutes. When we brought it back early because it didn’t work, Roy was very unprofessional and blamed us? He told us for F’off! He was a very squirrely guy and not to be trusted! Proceed with caution!
