Took the water taxi from Los Muertos Pier in PV to Yelapa. Roundtrip price is 400 pesos as of August 2022. Everyone on the boat was encouraged to go to see the waterfall first, which was nice. One of the guys from the boat gave kind of a tour on the way up. We spent about 45 minutes at the falls and then returned to the boat which shuttled us across to the restaurant area. We were strongly encouraged to use one particular restaurant. Overall everything was fine, but there was a pretty hard sell to give a tip of around $10 USD per person. I asked if this was a tip or a mandatory charge, and the answer was that it was more of a charge. I offered $20 USD, which was accepted. Just keep this in mind if your boat operator also wants to serve as a tour guide and whether that is something you are looking for.

Water taxi to Yelapa was great. 11am departure from los muertos pier. 380pesos per person round trip. Make sure you go to the office right across from Dee's coffee. We hiked to the waterfall behind the town, 10min walk from the pier. It was very impressive (October, end of rainy season)Hung out on beach at Marlins. Service was great. Taxi picked us up on far pier as expected at 4p.

Almost got left in Yelapa again. When busy and boats are full they left all the people with paid return trips high and dry on the dock. First time for us was in December 2011, We had to pay for a different boat to Boca De Tomaltin and a Taxi from there getting back to PV. 2018 we finally left Yelapa after 2 boats came and left the dock after finding out all passengers waiting had pre paid vouchers and not cash. I wish to go back to Yelapa but I guess I need to charter a boat not affiliated with the Co-op.

My wife and I took the Rayando El Sol out to Yelapa. It cost 450 per person both ways. We left around 10AM and headed directly across the bay. The boat fit about 6 people per row and was completely full both ways. The captain recommended a restaurant called Angelina's Garden which was delicious and worth every peso. The mixed drink seemed to have very little alcohol in it, though my wife and I do look young so maybe they were just looking out for us.

I took the water taxi from the pier to Yelapa. It’s easy to buy your ticket, there are vendors near and I think you can buy tickets right at the pier close to departure times. One thing to note, ask when the taxi your are taking returns as you will be expected to return on the same taxi. I took the 10 am and departed at 3pm which was perfect for me but there was others that were disappointed and hoped to stay until 5pm (the last taxi). The vendors will tell you that you can return on any taxi but you will be told otherwise once you are on the boat.It is right for space. They put 6 people to a bench and filled every row. It’s not the most comfortable but not unreasonable either. It was a smooth trip.

El bote llamado “Rayando el Sol” nos dejó plantados en Playas las Ánimas.” The bote “Rayando el Sol” left us in Ánimas Beach. The phone numbers in the ticket never answered.

Me parece muy inseguro el hecho de que no proporcionen chalecos salvavidas

Terrible service. Got left in Yelapa, the only day in the history of Mexico that Mexican time did not exist. Expecting a refund for our prepaid return trip. Says returns at 4 but was at the pier at 4 and the boat had already left. Attempted to call numerous times and then finally got thru only to be treated rude and hung up on. Got in on the 5pm (notice the picture of the time it actually left) boat that only goes to boca and then had to take the bus back to vallarta. I paid to go back to vallarta, if I wanted to do boca I would have done that. Boca to yelapa is only 80 pesos a person vs. The 190 pesos from Vallarta to Yelapa. A bunch of crooks. We will see if the supposed owner is a man of his word or not refund me and I will update. These are the people that give the good people here a bad name. Shady business, and trying to take advantage of tourist, they assume I'm a tourist even though im a local now and havr lived here for over a year.

Sergio and Jesus are just great for purchasing your Water Taxi tickets to Yelapa, and any other adventure you want...fishing, snorkeling, boat charters, horseback rides, and guides. You can leave your luggage at their office while you wait for your Water Taxi departure. Very convenient, and they can answer questions and give recommendations as needed. English spoken.

Contratamos servicio de ida y vuelta a Yelapa. Servicio pésimo, maltrato, promesas incumplidas y amenazas. La Marina los sancionó (y los dejó seguir) pese a que cargaban mas gente en el barco que lo permitido. Particularmente fue el barco Rayando el Sol. No recomiendo contratar los servicios de esta empresa.
