Baja's Resort at East Cape

My wife and I recently spent a delightful week in Casita Cielo (little house in the sky), one of eight very well appointed Casita’s at Baja’s Resort at East Cape located in the the heart of Los Barriles, Baja Mexico. Los Barriles is a small, charming seaside town. Theresa and Shaun, the owners of this beautiful and tranquil resort, have created a six-acre oasis of palms, trees, plants, flowers, filled with birds during the day. There is a lovely pool with a spacious terrace and spa - and it’s just a 5 minute walk to forty miles of white sand beach along the shores of the Sea of Cortez, and within very short walks to good restaurants, bars, etc.We were amazed at how open and bright the Casita Cielo’s floor plan was with the tall ceilings and numerous windows. The chaise lounge sofa in the living room was super comfortable, and we were even able to watch our favorite series on Netflix on a wall mounted flat screen TV. The very well equipped kitchen had a granite covered island plus all the accoutrements. We enjoyed breakfast at the island or outdoors at the table on the spacious terrace which had views of the resort’s six-acre oasis. The roomy master bedroom had a full en-suite bath with a large walk-in shower, and large walk-in closets.Maria, the resort’s Director of Reservations, will help you set up ‘Awesome’ tours (horseback riding, sports fishing, whale watching, snorkeling, etc.) along with renting standup paddle boards, kayaks, golf carts, and off-road ATVs.Finally, the entire resort along with rental gear and equipment are impeccably maintained by Theresa and Shaun, their General Manager Omar, and their other employees Chelito, Albino, Martin and Diego. We thank all of them for making sure our stay was truly wonderful and memorable.
