PV Birding, birdwatching & nature tours in Puerto Vallarta

Fun and informative! Alfonso is a great guide.

Alfonso Langle was a very fine and enthusiastic birding guide. He arranged to pick us up in Puerto Vallarta and led us on an entertaining and informative birding adventure as we drove to Rancho Primavera, where we spent the next few nights. And Alfonso then took us, along with some non birding friends, birding the next day; on various sites that took us to Tehuamixtle (where we had a great lunch). Alfonso was most flexible and able to handle a larger group the second day (which naturally added some cost to his service but that is easily arranged in advance). Our birding experience was greatly enhanced by Alfonso's expertise.

Encore une magnifique excursion, aux Îles Marietas cette fois-ci, offert par Alfonso Langle et PV Birding, birdwatching & nature tours Puerto Vallarta.Nous avons vu beaucoup de baleines, vraiment très proches de nous, et des oiseaux dont les magnifiques Fous à Pieds bleus. Les poissons ont été aussi à l’honneur lors du snorkeling, en toute sécurité. Je vous le recommande fortement.

Alfonso picked us up 2 days in a row at Rancho Primavera and took 5 of us to various birding hot spots in different habitats within an hour or so. He was great at hearing distant birds and then confirming the ID and giving me the chance to photograph them. We also had some good lunches and some interesting conversations about life in Mexico. A highlight was watching Collared Forest falcon chasing Military Macaws around the fotrest..

My wife and I spent two days birding with Alfonso near El Tuito. Alfonso was an excellent guide who found us a good number of the birds we wanted to see. He finds the birds quite often by ear and then patiently made sure each member of our group saw the bird. Very happy to recommend Alfonso to other birders.

We used the services of PV Birding for whale watching out of Punta Mita. Alfonso showed up right on time and within 15 minutes on the water, we saw our first sighting. After the whales we went to the Mariettas for snorkeling and beach time. Alfonso sure knew his wildlife and was quick to point out and name what we were looking at. 2nd year of touring with Alfonso, I highly recommend.

This was the best trip I have ever been on for whale & bird watching. Alfonso is the most knowledgeable person when it comes to nature. He is professional, his english is perfect, he considerate by bringing snacks, and he is very well organized. It is a tour you should not miss out on.
