many mosquitoes, cockroaches, no paper or soap in the room, noise from coke trucks all day... not relaxing at all. I was going to stay a week and I only lasted one night.

They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant and memorable.The owner of the hostel was exceptionally accommodating and made a point to interact with guests personally, providing helpful tips and recommendations. It's clear that they genuinely care about creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for everyone who stays here.The location of Casa Santaella is perfect - central and close to all the main attractions in Puerto Escondido. It was so convenient to be within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the beach, making my stay even more enjoyable.What really sets this hostel apart, however, is the peace and quiet it offers. Despite its central location, I found Casa Santaella to be a serene oasis where I could relax and unwind after a day of exploring.In summary, Casa Santaella Hostel was an absolute gem in Puerto Escondido. The warm and friendly staff, accommodating owner, central location, and peaceful environment all came together to create an exceptional experience. I will undoubtedly return to this delightful hostel on my next visit to Puerto Escondido and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay.

No recomiendo para nada, desagradable. Muy malo. baños incómodos y sucios, el desayuno solo café, difícil calentar agua. música de relajación todo el día aunque digas que no te gusta y te molesta y sean las 8.30 y vos pidiendo por favor que no, la ponen igual. Encima dicen que vos haces mucho ruido hablando fuerte, o sea hay que hablar arriba de la música y encima es muy fuerte y la Música si o si aunque te quejes siendo huésped. No está cerca de la playa y la voluntaria muy poco amable con algunas personas y muy amable con otras (diría que casi racista, hablando con gente huéspedes de habla inglés es buena onda, hablando con gente que habla español es mala onda) eso sin contar que como huesped le pedís no música y se te ríe y la pone igual.

this place has nothing zen like they say. cockroaches, mosquitoes biting all over the body.The coca cola factory and its trucks constantly loading and unloading is very noisy.for breakfast they only offer coffee... bad WiFi

Sitio muy agradable, con un jardín super bonito por el que se pasan colibríes. Mayela nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos. Lo recomiendo 100%

Estuvimos de escapada y la experiencia fue nefasta, estaba todo dejadisimo, vimos actitudes muy extrañas con las personas de allí, mal trato a un pobre gato, mal... Nada recomendable. Evidentemente no volveremos.

Lugar centrico, al pedir un taxi aqui hay que decir que quieres ir a la Coca Cola y ya sabrán ellos a donde llevarte.

My original booking was for two nights and I ended up staying over a week. It felt like home! The volunteers in this hostel are some of the best I’ve ever met in any hostel. The host is very nice and friendly. The kitchen is super equipped. The room is big not as any other bunk beds hostel. Great wifi. My only recommendation is to change the mattress for the bed I was sleeping on. Other than that all went well. Would stay again.

Lugar tranquilo pero estancias y baños bastante sucios, un lugar poco cuidado el trato no fue muy agradable por cierto...
