Stunning experience and a truly impressive operation. Don’t think twice to do this trip with these guys. We just visited with 6 family in 3 generations, age 13 to 80’s. None of us can think of a single thing that could have been better. The whale watching was the focus and incredible- we interacted closely with whales every single day. Boat drivers and guides mean everything, and these are so skilled. And the camp experience, from cozy cabins and daily happy hours to hot showers and local simple delicious food, fit the vibe perfectly. The camp staff are local and quick to laugh, most are family, and they clearly love making things great for their clients. Our group has done a lot of traveling and we’ve seen lots of whales. This still blew our minds. Go.

It has been 19 years since my husband and I had an adventure of a lifetime. The thrill of petting a whale has to be an experience not to be forgotten. Camp was comfortable and food great. Wish I was 19 years younger and I would go again!

The most incredible experience I've ever had, an incredibly beautiful and remote place, where the connection with nature and other people is impossible not to happen. It is not only amazing to the eye and the senses, but it is also a place to learn about our world. Being in contact with such beautiful animals in their habitat is simply magnificent.

Baja Ecotours has been rated by one of its owners….that’s me - as one of the best eco-tours I have ever made. That’s saying something for me now that I’ve spent over 25 years as a wildlife cameraman working for National Geographic, BBC, Discovery and many other productions and having seen some amazing wildlife locations and encounters. I’m always amazed at the astounding event at San Ignacio lagoon where mother gray whales give birth and encourage their babies to interact with us. Hard to internalize why, perhaps they know something we don’t about compassion and the bigger picture. I’ll always come back to San Ignacio Lagoon and the Fischer Family that run Campo Cortez

What a fantastic experience...a trip of a lifetime with Baja Ecotours !!! We really had a great time interacting with the whales, the crew was fantastic and the food was incredible !!! Would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in nature and big animals :-)

Watching gray whales play around the boat is some of the most amazing wild animal encounters I've ever had.Baja Ecotours made that experience even more enjoyable. The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were very respectful of the whales personal space and let the whales approach on their terms.The food was top notch.I really enjoyed the whole experience.

Magical people and magical place. The food is beyond delicious, could not stop eating the homemade tortillas and Maldo is some sort of whale whisperer extraordinaire. The whales literally followed us with Captain Maldo. This is a must experience for everyone!
