Emanuel is the most patient, kind, and caring spanish teacher I have ever had. He has a way of making the language fun and easy to learn. He makes learning feel like you are playing a game instead of grinding through flash cards. I was very lucky to be his student.

I would highly recommend Ako Language School to anyone who is looking to learn Spanish, no matter how brief your time in Playa del Carmen may be!From the free trial class, we met at a coffee shop so it was a very casual setting. Emmanuel assessed my current level of proficiency of the language, understood what I was looking to achieve from the classes, and also gave a brief intro lesson.The classes had a great balance of conversation, reading comprehension and grammar, and he spoke at a pace that was easy to follow and understand. It didn’t feel like I was studying, more like learning through conversation, which made it much more fun and enjoyable!He also had many recommendations for things to see and do around the city, including dance classes for those who were interested.Thank you for everything, it was truly a pleasure to learn from you!

I am incredibly glad that Emmanuel is my Spanish teacher!From the very 1st lesson I was fascinated with his teaching! I came to his lesson - knowing only a few Spanish words and after couple of weeks - for the first time I started already to speak on this beautiful language and have already noticed great results from classes with him!He could inspire me and gave me a great motivation to learn Spanish with ease - a completely new language for me.Each lesson with Emmanuel was very interesting and valuable! The private lessons with the Ako Language school helped me a lot to improve my spanish skills. The atmosphere of the lessons is really nice. Before I started my lessons with Ako I was able to speak some phrases, not really much. After 5 private lessons I was able to speak small conversations and I felt more comfortable speaking this language. I can highly recommend this school to learn spanish.

The one on one classes with Emmanuel were extremely valuable— especially in getting into the habit of speaking. He did an excellent job assessing my proficiency and adapting each lesson to suit my interests and areas I should focus on. Would definitely recommend taking at least more than 10 classes to notice an improvement!
