Clínica Dental Dr. Miguel A. Torres Portales DDS

I am from Honolulu Hawaii. I also live in France. I am an American. I will ALWAYS use this dentist. They are gentle, low prices, and accurate with the work that must be done.I have been in multiple vehicle accidents, rode bulls in the rodeo, surfed around the world. My mouth has been abused. I had used other dentists in the past and they all managed to take a lot of money and did shoddy work. These folks are making it all better and not “ break the bank”. Naturally, I am scared of dentists. Previously, they would not listen to me when I told them I was in pain. Appointments seemed to be scheduled months away. Not here. You want good work done, fast and inexpensive? Go here.They speak excellent English and Spanish.If you are not comfortable driving or staying in Mexico, let them know. They will pick you up at your hotel in Del Rio and drive you across the border. You will need a passport or passport card. They don’t charge for this service. Do you need work done on Saturday? No problem, they are there for you. The office is the first door on the right as you cross into Mexico. Restaurants, hotels (my choice. I stay in Acuña. The prices can’t be beat), banks, ATMs, pharmacies, on and on. When you come, you become family. They take cash(USD), credit cards, checks and pesos. If you have insurance, they will coordinate with your insurance company and you.It is an experience that makes a bad situation to be pleasant.What are you waiting for?

Pros-: Very nice staff, accommodating- if you need to be picked up, the dental assistant, Latesia will come and get you. She also speaks English and explains things to you that is spoken in Spanish by the dentust or orthodontist. Very clean and professional atmosphere. Orthodontist and the dentist are very good at their jobs.Cons: false advertisement. They quote you a price which remains the same when you arrive; however, they do not tell you that the rate at which they work (I got only top braces was expecting both at same time or even during my next visit ) depends on how quickly you pay for the services. Ex. They may put your top or bottom braces in first. They won't put the other until the bill is almost paid because they think you will not return. After your teeth are pulled, you are expected to know how to take care of it yourself. You are not given any reading material with instructions. You only leave there with medication.I think this place is perfect for the citizens of Mexico but not so good for foreigners. I also understand their philosophy of getting paid in advance, because some people probably won't come back and allow them to finish the job. But they should be honest about how they operate by giving you the opportunity to choose if you want to pay in advance or go somewhere else to have work done. There are lots of honest people in America.

This was the worst experience of my life. Dont waste your money. I ended up with a crooked short bridge that doesn't fit properly.. Had two visits and had to wait for over 12 hours each visit. Its a scam. Now less than 2 years later having to have it replaced because it was terrible work. Waist of money and time.

Letty was so helpful and giving explaning the prices and procedures and even offer service to bring us in from across the border. Everything was done in one day and the bridge was so perfect. Thank you Letty and the dentist for bring so nice and for providing good services!!!!! See you again soon. I’ll definitely be back!!!!

Let me start by saying anyone can say anything on the Web and a lot of people do so without any knowledge of what they are talking about. I have been coming to this Dentist for more than 8 years and am completely happy with all work done. Leti is the owner, not a dentist but has a good knowledge of what her customers need after input from her dentists. She does have dentists that work for her and uses them to get the correct information to tell the patient about the problems and how to correct them. If there is a need to get a specialist involved, she arranges for it to happen. When she gives a customer the price for treatment, it includes any work if needed by a specialist with expertise her dentists don't have and is included. If you don't like the price given, you can always go somewhere else . If one dentist tells you you need a certain procedure, it is up to you to make a choice whether to have it done, but don't say you'll give a bad review if the price isn't lowered. Remember, blowing out someone else's candle doesn't make yours any brighter. Leti's Dental Office is very fair and truthful for all your dental needs.

Had to have a root canal done. I have to say great service and I felt better that I thought when I was done. Definitely worth the drive and will definitely be coming back. Prices are way more affordable. Will post an update in a few days or weeks to see how I'm feeling from the whole process.

First , there is NO Dr. Torres he died year year's ago. This is scam business using his name run by his widow. Lety Torres owns the business. The so called dentist I swear is a veterinarian. She claims he a license dentist ; however, she won't produce a certificate. She is only worried about getting the cash out of your pocket. He (the so called dentist) screwed up my root canal that I had to be on antibiotics for 16 days( 6 days of zpack and 10 days of Cipro) that's how unsanitary the place is. My fiance had a bridge done will we had to go to a different dentist to get her teeth fixed. The so called dentist drilled into her roots. The new dentist had to remove the bridge and do a root canal because Lety's dentist Mr. Flores screwed up. She should be closed down!!!! Don't be fooled by her smooth ways , she is good at getting the cash out of your pocket. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I went down here and got 23 teeth removed and my top and bottom denture all in the same weekend very good pricing and they will work with you very nice people
