Amancay Freediving - Baja California Sur
I have been out freediving with Cande on multiple occasions both in Cabo and in Playa Del Carmen. She is an amazing teacher for both beginner and experienced divers alike. I had been spearfishing for a couple of years but was hitting a wall at about 40 feet depth. After taking her class and learning some techniques to more easily clear my ears and stay calm I immediately improves to 60 feet depth and now I am at 75 feet max depth with a goal of 100 feet. I can’t wait to get back to Cabo and work on some more advanced techniques and introduce my daughters to Cande and freediving.

I did my SSI level 1 with Amancay in Cabo, I had an amazing experience! Cande was super professional, charismatic and has an amazing way of passing on her knowledge and techniques! I also love the training sessions with her! I Definitely reccommend Amancay!

Such an incredible women owned and run business! Cande is both super knowledgeable and very patient, not only did I learn a lot doing this course but I had so much fun doing it. Highly reccomend finding a way to do a course or join a trip with amancay!

We had an amazing time with Amancay! Cande is a brilliant teacher and her teaching methodology is exceptional. She is a keen observer and fixed several aspects of my technique - the duck dive, finning etc. We also went on a couple of safaris with her. We swam with dolphins, sea lions and saw a shark and mobula rays. She is very respectful of nature and is absolutely passionate about what she does. I can't wait to come back to Baja again!

Candelaria was an amazing coach. Lovely to met and very competent in her knowledge. I experienced with her 3 days of personal coaching Working on equalization techniques dry and in the water. She worked exactly on me my needs and requirements. She shared her passion in a very natural and friendly way. I would definitely recommend her and I look forward to meet her again. I had an amazing experience and training with Cande in Baja California Sur during the mobula ray season! I learned new breathe up techniques and diaphragmatic stretches. It was also nice just being able to book the trip and someone else take care of the transportation and lodging. I achieved a personal best thanks to Cande’s coaching. Also, imagine reaching your PB, turning on the line and looking up to see mobulas flying past you in the water. ❤️. The coaching was valuable and the experience was nothing short of magical. I recommend it and I will definitely do it again.

Amancay will always have a place in my heart. Cande is an amazing instructor and person. Who teaches you not just freediving but the power of breathe and mind. She changed the way I look at life and if you are lucky to have the opportunity to train/hang out with her I suggest you take it! A million stars and a life time of memories! El Seafari que hicimos con Cande es, sin duda, uno de los mejores que hice en mi vida. Vimos de todo (ballenas, delfines, tortugas, etc) pero lo que más me gustó es el respeto que tienen con los animales. En ningún momento sentí que estabamos molestando a la vida marina que vimos (cosa que si me pasa con otros tours). Sin duda los recomiendo!!!

Did the training camp with Cande at la ventana in November. It was so much fun and well organized. The camp is good for all levels. Skills are broken down to the core to help identify and work on specific issues- ranging from beginner to advanced. In the water, the dives were also tailored to specifically what you're working on.10/10 would recommend!!
