The doctor (who was a general doctor) refused to prescribe a medication for me, citing the need for a “specialist” to do so.They referred me to a random hospital nearby, with no explanation as to who I should talk to when I get there.When I arrived at this hospital, they said the only specialist (apparently on the peninsula) lives in Cozumel, and good luck!It also costs $193 to see him.I called another doctor in Playa, and she was baffled that they claimed a specialist needed to prescribe this medication, because she (a general doctor) prescribed it all the time.She even asked for the names of the clinics because it was an outrageous claim.I mean, I totally get up-charging foreigners, but could you please do it with non-imminent emergency visits please.

No son especialistas, ni muy profesionales, tampoco afiliados a DAN. El diagnóstico fue erróneo, una pérdida de tiempo. A pesar de ser una cama Hiperbarica no trabajan directamente con DAN.

They have a bariatric chamber for divers suffering from DCS or “the bends”. The doctors and staff here are experts in this subject. If your diving in the vicinity and get bent, this is the place for immediate treatment

We went to this clinic because of the advertised lower PCR test (1450 pesos instead of the usual 1700 found elsewhere) 48 hours before the flight.The nurse taking care of the tests spoke an extremely good English, was ultra nice and made the process clear and easy.Also, our results came in exactly when they were supposed to.Nothing but a great experience, we would certainly go again!

Atienden 24 hrs. Fuimos por un dolor intenso de estomago que quizas haya sido por el pescado, no era infección porque no había temperatura, fue una experiencia mediana, ya que tenía el estomago inflamado y con dolor, y no me dieron desinflamatorio ni antibiotico. El costo de $800 (MXN) por consulta es elevado. Lo bueno fue la cercanía a mi hospedaje pero no me cure y tuve que ir de nuevo al doctor ya de vuelta en mi hogar.

Got our PCR tests in less than 24 hours to come back to Canada.Very good clinic, just call and book your appointment. ( They also speak English). And their prices are fair!I highly recommend this clinic.
