Really great Mexican cookery course and Mezcal & Tequila tasting. Andres was a lovely guy, highly recommend.

Amazing experience! 10/10 recommend. Chef Andrés was so kind, knowledgeable and patient throughout the entire course of the class. I was blown away by how simple ingredients created such powerful and complex flavors. I left with so much more understanding behind recipes and mezcal/tequila. Definitely a highlight from our entire vacation here in Cancún. I will definitely be using many of these recipes when I am home!

Great time and learned a lot! Tequila tasting was good and so was the food. Beautiful decor and ambiance. Andres was super friendly and made the evening really fun. Recommended as a great experience.

I would give more stars if I could. This experience with Chef Andres exceeded my expectations! The Chef explained with passion a lot of aspects of Mexican culture, his welcoming was excellent and we enjoyed his cuisine so much! The tasting part was also super interesting: I did not know all the differences between Mezcal, Tequila and the way to enjoy it. I will definitely plan a Tequila party with my friends as soon as I’m back in France. I recommend this class %100! Our best experience in Cancun, authentic and far from the touristy hotel zone.

We had the BEST time at Yum Cancun! My family has been coming to Cancun for 30 years, but we just stumbled across Andres and his cooking workshop this year, and we’re bummed we didn’t find it sooner! We had a fabulous 5 course lunch with wine pairings and a tequila and mezcal tasting. Not only was it extremely informative and interesting, but everything tasted absolutely amazing. The time we were there flew by, and Andres was a wonderful host. Andres also accommodated my family of 6 for a private workshop on a day he didn’t originally offer it, and all I had to do was call and ask. I recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Cancun and looking for a fun activity — you won’t regret it!

I just went to the Yum Cooking Workshop, we did Taco Tuesday. This cooking class was probably the best I've ever been to. The chef Andres, was personal, genuine, and knowledgable. It was intimate and personalized cooking class. I would highly recommend. His tacos were amazing and he really went into depth about ingredients and techniques, what an amazing experience.

Our girl's group had an amazing day with Chef Andres! He is so personable and you can feel the joy he has for cooking. This is very much an interactive experience. It is light and fun. He teaches the history/origin of the dishes he prepares. The mezcal and tequila tasting were very informative. When I am back in Cancun I will definitely look him up and book again. If you are looking for a more authentic experience, this is the obvious choice.

I just spent 8 days in Mexico, and this was my favorite experience of the entire stay. Myself and 8 family members had a cooking class and dinner with Chef Andres in a beautiful home in Cancun.We started seated at a gorgeous tiled high top kitchen table, enjoying local beer and and a beautiful white wine he selected. We watched him work his magic at the stove and cutting board, and learned so much about chiles, and adding flavor through charring, and balancing flavors. We got to get hands on in several areas also, such as making our own blue corn empanadas.He is so personable and knowledgeable. One of my favorite portions was learning proper mezcal tasting, pairing it with the right salt and oranges. I’m an expert level drinker, and have loved mezcal cocktails for ages, yet I still learned so much I didn’t know before.And oh my goodness the flavors of the food. Every course was delectable. We moved from the high top to a large dining table that easily seated all of us, to have the 3 course meal. Dessert was phenomenal. I was very full by the end but finished it all. Even my step dad, who doesn’t normally try new things, ate everything! The guy who eats nothing ate it all, and loved it! Haha. Picky eaters beware- you might actually enjoy new things!It was a super easy drop-off through our hotel taxi, and Andres spoke directly with our taxi driver to confirm our return pickup timing, which was really nice. It felt perfectly safe in the neighborhood.Anyways, all that to say— do it! If you’re thinking about it, just book it! You won’t regret it.

Staying at a resort in Cancún, México? Get out and spend a day at Yum Cooking Workshop with Chef Andres! This was by far the highlight our week vacation in Cancún. Staying at a resort has its perks, but let’s face it, they often lack the experience of authentic culture of the area.A day of Chef Andres’ cooking workshop is a perfect way to get a little taste of the Mexican culture. Chef Andres takes you through various courses of traditional recipes, providing a rich history of each dish. Along the way we got to enjoy taking part in preparing some of the dishes such as salsa and empanadas.The tequila and mezcal tasting was a fantastic break, learning more about the history of these spirits, from an impassioned Chef Andres. The pairings with the tequila and mezcal such as pineapple, oranges, limes, chocolate, and chili powder mix were really enjoyable, especially exploring different ways to pair each with the different tequilas.The hospitality and the food were incredible. We loved everything about this unique experience and would highly recommend Yum Cooking Workshop. Getting to the workshop was no problem for the taxi driver, and Chef Andres was very responsive.

This is by far one of the best cooking classes we've attended. Chef Andres and his assistant are the most accommodating and professional team making this hands-on class very informative, fun and well worth the cost and time. Learning about mezcal and tequila was new to us and provided great insight into an unknown.I highly recommend this class, you'll leave the class and head straight to the supermarket to buy all of the ingredients to replicate the techniques and flavors in your own kitchen....that's what we did.Thank you Andres, we look forward to our next class in your kitchen.
