Someone told me they had brisket so we had to try it. We went there before and they were closed. They bring the Prime Beef and Post Oak down from the owner’s ranch in Texas and were out of supplies during our first attempt. But we persisted and finally got to try it.Most important things first - the meat is good! It’s well seasoned, moist, and smoked perfectly. And there’s a lot of it in the sandwiches. I’m a brisket and white bread type of guy but the house made bread had a nice crust and was spongy while holding up to the mountain of meat it contained. I also really appreciated the sauce. It wasn’t that sugary ketchup that often gets served, instead it was a good, balanced, slightly tangy sauce. The house made sodas were also excellent. They remind me of going to the soda counter at the pharmacy when I was a kid (when they still existed).They have a little, shaded outdoor space with picnic tables and they’re installing misters to deal with the heat during the day.You should definitely give it a try! I’ll be back to try the burger and pulled pork and obviously eat more brisket.

Finger, licking good! Fantastic, pulled pork, and brisket that is tender and has fantastic flavor! He makes his own bread and didn’t hesitate to do whatever to please us as customers!
